The Georgian American University has 5 highly developed schools, each with its own institute for research as follows: Business; Law & International Relations; Informatics and Engineering; Humanities & Liberal Arts; and Medical. 

GAU’s team consists of highly qualified Georgian and foreign specialists. Experienced lecturers create a friendly atmosphere for students.

GAU is a private University, which focuses on small group of students, student - teacher ratio is approximately 13. Also, GAU has ideology free philosophy.

GAU is distinguished with innovations, such as QUANTS (Quantitative Finance), first legal clinic in Georgia, the ultra-modern IT laboratory - Geolab, professional English language programs; and the Spanish Language and Culture Center.

GAU constantly supports and encourages current and future students. The University has an internal and external grant and scholarship programs, which offers full or partial discounts for incoming and outgoing students with high academic performance.

GAU offers to the students exchange programs with different universities around the world. The number of European and US leading universities, as well as the number of international organizations with which GAU cooperates, continuously increase. As a result, students can participate in Erasmus + exchange programs, obtain a scholarship and share not only the experience of international education and global competitiveness, but also diverse cultural and social relationships.

Along with and intensive academic process, the students have possibilities of entertainment, cognition, meeting interesting people. GAU has football and basketball teams, GAUBand and GAUTheater where students can demonstrate their talents and interests.

As the landscape of Georgia is very attractive, diverse and eye-charming Excursions are systematically arranged by GAU. One of the outstanding traditions is the rafting tour in summer, and a winter ski expedition in majestic Caucasus every year.
