Okanagan College respectfully acknowledges that our Penticton, Kelowna and Vernon campuses are located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan People, our Salmon Arm campus is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwepemc, and our Revelstoke centre is located on the traditional and unceded territories of the Ktunaxa, Secwepemc, Sinixt and Syilx Okanagan Peoples.

Okanagan College is governed, like all other colleges in the province, by the College and Institute Act of British Columbia. The act sets up dual responsibility for the College through its Board of Governors and its Education Council.

The Board of Governors has the sole responsibility for the management, administration and control of the property, revenue, expenditures, business and affairs of the institution.

Education Council is responsible for curriculum content, academic standards and policies.

Senior administration is responsible for directing Okanagan College’s operations, under the guidance of the Board of Governors.
