Our Campuses

The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) is a higher education institution with campuses in Manly and Sydney’s business district. Founded in 1996, ICMS is a leader in career-focused, quality education and offers undergraduate bachelor’s and postgraduate master’s degrees to Australian and international students.  ICMS degrees are at the same Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level as University degrees and are equal to University degrees on the AQF.

The iconic traditional sandstone Northern Beaches Campus, affectionately called the “castle on the hill”, offers sweeping views over Manly Beach, and contrasts with the modern, vibrant and centrally-located City Campus. Both offer spectacular study locations that would be hard to beat anywhere in the world.

ICMS offers everything that a traditional student experience provides, such as sporting teams, student clubs, campus facilities and on and off campus accommodation, but at ICMS you will get the attention and learning support to succeed academically. With over 2000 students from more than 50 countries, ICMS offers a social and supportive community in which students enjoy a diverse and personalised learning experience.

Why?

Why ICMS Is Happily Different From a University -

> ICMS Is Different From a University

ICMS is different from a university, in the traditional – large class, theory only focused sense. ICMS focuses on creating employable graduates rather than churning out graduates with little to no relevant work experience is one of the many career-focused attributes that set ICMS apart from what is commonly found in older, more traditional institutions like larger Australian universities.

The uncertain world today is even more focused on education that opens doors and makes graduates employable. As traditional universities try to come to grips with what industry wants, ICMS, a higher education institution continues to lead the way in career-focused education by offering a mix of practical and academic learning experiences that the likes of traditional universities struggle to do.

> Industry Training / Internships
ICMS is different from a university because universities try to offer industry placements however, with large student numbers, it is far too complicated to place every student. Whereas Industry Training is a key part to who we are and what we do at ICMS. Every one of our degree students graduate with industry training; we have a dedicated work integrated team who places our students in real, world internships. Industry training is a subject, it’s a core part of the degree.

> Personalised Approach
Small classes, whether virtual or face to face, are the norm at ICMS.  The ICMS approach to education is about mentorship and individual attention. Our classes are around 30 in a class whereas universities have hundreds of students in lecture halls. A smaller class size at our higher education institution is an environment for academic, personal and professional success. This personalised approach gives prospective students the chance to shine as individuals.

> Support
ICMS students have access to 24/7 online academic support and one-on-one support. The individual attention that students get at ICMS does not stop outside of the classroom. All ICMS students have access to the Student Success Centre (SSC) and help from Academic Learning Advisors who will assist students to develop academic skills and prepare them for the transition to tertiary student life.  Universities struggle to offer one on one support.

> Preparation for Career Success
ICMS students start working on their career success long before they graduate. The dedicated Work Integrated Learning team prepares students for their internship and graduate employment. From the very first year of study, ICMS students discover that ICMS is different from a university. These students are shown how to prepare a resume, practise interview techniques and gain the necessary knowledge and skills to secure the best possible placement to further their future ambitions.

> Select a University or ICMS – Is Bigger Better?
Bigger is not always better and that is what makes ICMS different from a university. In this case, when it comes to graduating with a degree that will be attractive to future employers because you already have work experience, smaller, personalised and career-focused, like the education offered at ICMS, is best.
