RIT-Kosovo (A.U.K.) was founded through a partnership with Rochester Institute of Technology and the American University in Kosovo Foundation in 2003.  The university serves over 500 students in Prishtina, Kosovo’s capital city.  RIT-Kosovo is a not-for-profit, higher education institute offering degrees from RIT, New York with an exceptional local and international faculty.  Kosovo is a young country, both in terms of population and sovereign status offering a dynamic and entrepreneurial learning environment.  As a new and developing nation, Kosovo (and the region) is also home to a growing population of International Affairs professionals.  Overall, Kosovo offers an exceptionally friendly and safe environment for an affordable and enriching educational experience with numerous regional travel opportunities as well.

RIT Kosovo Campus:

The RIT-Kosovo campus is situated in the greenest area of Prishtina near Germia Park and a short 10 minute bus ride from the city-center.  Germia is a large national park considered to be the “green lung” of the city.  It features easily accessible and safe hiking trails, casual café settings to take in the scenery, and additional outdoor sports opportunities such as path running, mountain biking, basic climbing, basketball, and football.

RIT Kosovo Academics:

RIT K offers an individualized study plan with concentrations, minors and immersions in the following fields and subject areas:

Economics and Statistics; Management and Entrepreneurship; Public Policy and Governance; Peace and Conflict Studies; Energy policy; Graphic Design and Multimedia; Web and Mobile Computing; International Relations; Economics; English

Regional Info:

By studying in the Balkans, you too can share the long and rich cultural history spanning the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire, communist regimes, as well as more contemporary Western European influences.  The legacies of these eras are recognizable in historical artifacts and cultural-traditional treasures. In addition to the rich historical narratives that crisscross the Balkans, the region has numerous natural gems that offer opportunities for regional adventure in beautiful and relatively secret mountain vistas and seaside paradises, most of which are accessible on a student budget.

RIT-Kosovo proudly supports a 95% rate of employment of Alumni.

As a branch campus of RIT USA, RIT-Kosovo celebrates its continued growth and success as one of the top 100 universities in the U.S. reported by U.S. News Rankings
