Come to the University of Northampton and you will see that we do things a bit differently.

As one of the few universities to be ranked Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), we know that sharing knowledge, supporting creativity and striving to make a positive difference will change the future. What motivates us is the drive to help people make the changes that will transform their lives – people like you.

We are one of the youngest universities in the UK but we are already leading the way in adding value to society, which we call social impact. We have won multiple awards for our work in this area, among others, but what matters the most to us is ensuring that our students and graduates have the opportunity to make their mark on the world too. That’s why we were the first university in the UK to be named as a Changemaker Campus in 2012.

We want to break the mould of what Higher Education can be. This has led us to build a whole new University from the ground up that is designed to reflect the way that you actually learn rather than the way you are expected to learn. Join us and you will be one of the first students through the doors of our Waterside Campus.

Perhaps you want to study for a degree to kick-start your career or take it to the next level? Maybe you’re passionate about a subject that has grabbed your interest and want to learn every detail you can? Maybe you want to change the world for the better? Our commitment to transforming lives and inspiring change is at the heart of all that we do. We want to ensure that your experience studying with us enables you to transform your life and those of others too, no matter how great or small this may be.

Why?

Whether you study a Bachelors's or a Masters's program, our generous International Scholarships are awarded automatically and could give you as much as a 30% tuition fee discount for the duration of your course. New campus

We want to deliver an educational experience fit for the 21st Century. That’s why we built a brand new campus from the ground up, focusing on the way you actually learn, rather than the way you’re expected to. Just a short stroll from the town’s Cultural Quarter, our new Waterside location has everything you need for your studies and living.

Value for money

Up to £3,000 scholarship for every year of your UON course is a massive bonus – but that’s not all. You will find Northampton is also far more economical for overall living costs and cheaper than many UK higher education destinations.

Great location

You will find Northampton is easy to get to and great as a base for exploring the UK. Within an hour of London by train and surrounded by great city locations, Northampton is served by five international airports and lies at the heart of road and rail links to all parts of the UK and Europe. The town is home to top-flight sports teams, acclaimed music venues, well-known theatres, and restaurants offering cuisine from around the world.

Free sports and societies

Life at university isn’t just about studying and we make it easy for you to join in the fun by offering all sports, clubs, and societies free of charge through the Students’ Union. So whatever your passion, you can enjoy life to the full without worrying about the cost.
