Why?

As part of the Common Good mission GCU London has set up a Common Good group, which is dedicated to developing opportunities for all its students and staff to participate in events and activities, engaging with the wider London community. The group welcomes all our collaborative partners that are active in the area of empowering young people from underrepresented backgrounds, promoting leadership and social change through education.

Remit (strategic)
To consider how GCU London staff and students can contribute to Common Good activities in line with Strategy 2020:

Raise aspirations and widen access to higher education
Enhance capabilities and capacity of workforce
Reduce inequalities and promote social justice
Contribute to the regeneration and growth of the communities we serve.
The group will meet 3 times per year (once a trimester).
