Why?

WHY STUDY AT NANYANG INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT?

Apart from the quality curriculum delivered by experienced and qualified Academics; Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) offers students a conducive learning environment and a holistic learning experience through various activities and events. Students are also given the opportunity to hone their leadership skills by being part of the Student Council where they represent their student body in the organization of activities and events.

Campus Facilities
The facilities at Nanyang Institute of Management consist of 15 Classrooms, 1 Computer Lab, 2 Specialist Training Rooms, 1 library, 1 student lounge/computer room, and 3 meeting rooms.

Student Council
We invite and encourage the establishment of a variety of student organizations for the purpose of meeting the varied interests and needs of the campus community. While students will normally find the rigorous responsibilities of a higher education curriculum somewhat limiting for involvement in extracurricular organizations, such groups are desirable as a complement to the developmental philosophy of our institution. Students wishing to form such organizations are encouraged to talk with the appropriate Head of School who will coordinate action with the Student Services Office.

Currently, there is the NIM Student Council that is run by students. It is a forum for discussions, activities and it represents the interests of students. All students of NIM are automatically members of the council. All students are asked to contribute ideas and efforts to help the committee members in organizing events, etc. If you would like to gain experience in helping to organise events, you are encouraged to serve in any of the committees. Normally, committee members are each given a Certificate of Appreciation by NIM for their contribution.

It is through the Student Consultative Committee that the NIM Student Council members together with NIM Management representatives chart the direction and planned major activities

Activities & Sports
At NIM, students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular and sporting activities.   NIM together with the Student Council organizes community service as well as sports events.

NIM conduct a visit to homes like the All Saints Home for the Elderly and participate in donation drives organized by the various organizations like YMCA and the Singapore Red Cross.

Although NIM is a city campus, the school organizes off-site sports activities basketball and football for the students on a regular basis.  There are also social gatherings organized by NIM for students like barbeques and scavenger hunts.
