Bryansk State Engineering Technological University  is one of the oldest higher educational institutions in Bryansk. It was established in 1930. The University has the License to conduct educational activity series AAA? 001784 issued by the RF Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, registration ? 1713 from August 15, 2011 (licence validity period is unlimited) and the Certificate of State Accreditation ? 3108 from May 13, 2019.

   Today Bryansk State Engineering Technological University performs as the principal Institution of Higher Education where engineers, economists and managers in the fields of forestry, landscape architecture, industrial and civil engineering, municipal construction and public utilities, production of building materials, products and structures, building design, expertise and real estate management, roads and airfields, computer science and engineering, information systems and technologies, maintenance of vehicles and machinery, woodworking technology, furniture and interior design, nature protective arrangement of territories, life safety in technosphere, economy of enterprises and organizations, finance and credit, management, accounting, analysis and audit, economic security are trained .

The system for training highly skilled scientific personnel is being expanded. The University has successfully operated  dissertation councils for the protection of doctoral and master's theses in many scientific fields and specializations.

Modern education cannot be imagined without scientific research, especially for the students during the senior years of their bachelor and specialist studies and doing their masters. The University's scientific potential creates a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary research and pioneering work in various branches of science. Research and education are two processes that do not just go in parallel, but interconnect very closely. Implementation of the Russian Federal Innovation educational program has resulted into the foundation of new innovative scientific centers, equipped with modern high-tech materials and equipment.
