From 31 May 2022, all references to Toi Ohomai or Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology on this website (and any documentation linked through this website) need to be read as references to Te P?kenga and its Toi Ohomai business division.
Te P?kenga brings the Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) and the arranging training activities of certain Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) together to create a national network. This will give learners more choices and flexibility in what, where, and how they learn.
Existing Toi Ohomai ?konga (learners) will be enrolled with Te P?kenga automatically in the same qualification and will continue to learn in the same way, in the same place, with the same people.
Learners should note that all programmes offered across Te P?kenga are under review to ensure they are portable, consistent and aligned with the needs of industry and may be changed. Where there are changes to programmes that you have applied to enrol in, you will be notified of these changes.
The International Student Barometer (ISB) is an online, semi-standardised survey questionnaire designed by i-graduate.
According to the 2019 I-Graduate Survey, Toi Ohomai ranked first globally in the following areas:
Orientation satisfaction
Welcoming
Pre-arrival and information
Counselling support
Social activities
Toi Ohomai ranked sixth overall globally out of the 89 institutions surveyed.
The I-Graduate Survey is conducted every two years to gather feedback from almost 60,000 international students across global tertiary institutions, including 13 New Zealand ITPs.
Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is popular for so many reasons, not least of which is the awesome location. Some of New Zealand's most beautiful beaches and forests are right here so you can explore and enjoy adventures whenever you like (while you're not studying of course!) and relax like all good students should.
