After the restructuring of the College of Computer Engineering and Information Technology and the College of Mining and Environment Engineering. Computer and Computer Engineering has been transferred to the College of Mining and Environment. The Information Technology Department has been divided into three departments: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems and Software Engineering.

The laboratories of the college to achieve the objectives of the university and college to link academic programs in their fields of application, and focus on the practical aspect of teaching and provide practical experience to students. Since its inception, the College has worked with specialized scientific laboratories for the materials it presents in various fields of information technology. 
Computer labs consist of (8) eight modern labs, each of which has 31 modern devices connected to each other through an advanced local computer network.

The labs are linked to the Internet through the Leased Line used by teachers and students to obtain the latest studies and published research to benefit from their studies and scientific research. The Academy shares an electronic library with EBSCO, which provides articles published in thousands of international journals.

The work of the main devices in the lab has been developed by providing storage capacity for each student. The daily work of the students is stored continuously, as well as the creation of an e-mail address for each student, as well as access to the college and e-mail files from anywhere outside University Labs (on the Internet) to save the effort and time of the student in the study and communication with teachers and access to the vocabulary of scientific materials.

Computer labs include many programs and systems necessary for students. The university is keen to keep abreast of the various developments in the field of equipment, systems and software to achieve maximum benefit and expand the communication between students and the university even after graduation.

Laboratory hours are from 8 am to 4 pm from Sunday to Thursday.

College sought to contribute to the national development through the preparation of distinguished cadres in the various fields of information technology that have a well-integrated and integrated personality that will be able to keep abreast of the requirements of the age and the needs of the labor market and can contribute effectively to serve the local community and meet the current and future local and regional market needs. Various areas of information technology. 


Objectives

The College aims to carry out the duties of the President in teaching, scientific research and community service. The objectives can be detailed as follows:
