KIET was established in 1998 at Ghaziabad with an annual intake of 198 students. The Institute has 5200+ students on its rolls in 2017-18: a substantial growth in 20 years to meet the need of quality technical education in U.P. KIET has been maintaining excellent results over the last several years and has been consistently rated as one of the best Institutions in AKTU (formerly UPTU).

The institute has earned a vital position in the Overall Rank Band of 151-200 for Engineering discipline and in the Rank band of 76-100 for Pharmacy discipline in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) - India Ranking 2018 by MHRD, Govt. of India on the basis of excellence in teaching, learning, research and innovation.
Our students acquire competence to become global knowledge workers and our close collaboration with reputed MNCs, firms and industries, not only create opportunities for jobs but also create entrepreneurs who provide jobs to others and to work in this direction, there is an in-house entrepreneurship cell as well, TBI-KIET. “Technology Business Incubator” has been set up in association with Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, to promote Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Institute and in the adjoining areas.
