United Business Institutes (UBI) was established on 4th April 1992 as a not-for-profit establishment of higher education. UBI was co-founded by Mr. Lucien van Dievoet and Mr. Francois d’Anethan who together decided to work on starting an English-language Business School that would combine a true international dimension with a high-quality business curriculum.
The quality assurance mechanisms of British universities have always been seen as the standard for higher education and therefore the decision for a British validation was made and the UBI programmes have been validated by British Universities since 1998.
Since taking its first students in October 1992, UBI has achieved a reputation for the high quality of its teaching programmes. Situated in Brussels, UBI offers the opportunity to study in English in a non-English speaking country and allows students to benefit from an international, intercultural and dynamic environment.
This successful recipe was extended to opening new campuses. UBI – Luxembourg was opened in 2013 to operate a campus in Wiltz, Luxembourg. UBI – China was opened in 2018 in Shanghai (China).
United Business Institutes' programmes (BA (Hons) in Business Studies, MBA) are validated by Middlesex University London, rated as one of the top 5 business schools in London for overall student satisfaction.
