Orana is an aboriginal word meaning ‘Welcome’ coming from the Wiradjuri people in Central NSW. We named our college so because at Orana Fashion Business College, we have created a warm and welcoming environment where you will feel confident to follow your dreams in the fashion industry. We’re all about a personal experience and one-on-one connections.
Orana Fashion Business College was founded by Yvonne Yasserie (nee Wallace), an experienced creative director, fashion stylist and visual merchandiser.
After over 15 years working in the industry, Yvonne noticed a lack of quality in the fashion students entering the industry and looked to make a difference. Since launching in 2013, Orana has provided the next generation with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the fashion industry.
Now, Yvonne successfully runs two businesses, Orana Fashion Business College and Orana Creative. Yvonne is the Director of Orana Fashion Business College and holds the position of Creative Director of Orana Creative; providing Westfield centres nationally with fashion and creative services.
Fashion moves fast, so you need to be taught by people with their fingers on the pulse. Our industry trainers deliver relevant and on-time content straight from the fashion industry.
We are all about quality not quantity at Orana, so we have a bespoke approach to learning. We know that everyone?s career path is as individual as themselves, so we make sure we have the right staff to tailor your experience.
We encourage all students to explore their creative inspiration as often as possible. We have a styling studio set up with all the equipment supplied. You can use this space to create content for your portfolio, social media and even your business headshots.
To make sure we're able to provide personalised support to every student, we keep our class sizes small. This allows our industry trainers and students to stay fully engaged with one another.
