Ambassador: Activity of French University in Armenia will expand

The activities of the French University in Armenia will expand. This was stated at a meeting with the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Levon Mkrtchyan on March 2, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France Jonathan Lakot. 

According to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science, the parties discussed a number of working issues concerning the duration of the Armenian-French educational programs. Speaking about secondary schools, Mkrtchyan stressed that from this academic year pupils of grades 5-9 of 10 schools of the country are studying French as a foreign language in a profound program. 

In his turn, Lakot spoke in detail about the planned steps to expand the activities of the French University in Armenia.

The parties expressed their readiness to take consistent steps towards the development of existing relations. They also touched upon the preparatory work for the summit of the International Organization of Francophonie, which is to be held in autumn in Yerevan.
