The University of Strathclyde , Glasgow is inviting applications for its range of scholarships for its Faculty of Humanities and Social applicants joining postgraduate taught programmes in academic year 2023/24. Interested candidates can apply at the official website of the varsity.

There are a total of 285 scholarships being offered by the varsity at the postgraduate level, and the last date to apply for these scholarships is July 31, 2023. These scholarships will be worth around £2,500 to £5,000 (15 per cent of the tuition fees), and will help with the tuition fees. The duration of the validity of these scholarships will be one academic year.

To be eligible for these scholarships, candidates must hold an offer to a full-time postgraduate taught degree programme starting in academic year 2023/24 before their scholarship application will be considered. Applications should have a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree. The subjects covered under this scholarship are Education, English, History, Law, Languages, Politics, Psychology, Speech and language therapy, Journalism, Social policy, International relations, Social work

The varsity also offers a limited number of Dean’s International Excellence Awards for postgraduate taught applicants, which are worth £4,000 – £5,000 and will be offered to exceptional applicants at postgraduate taught level. Applicants need to only submit one application and will be considered for all levels of postgraduate taught scholarships.

However, important thing to remember is that the awards cannot be combined, and students will be considered for either the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences International Scholarship Postgraduate Taught or the Dean’s International Excellence Award. These awards are offered based on merit and are competitive, and cannot be guaranteed by the varsity.
