A memorandum of understanding was signed between Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) and Indonesian Islamic University Malanq. The Memorandum was signed by the rector of AUL, academician Kamal Abdulla and rector of the Malalan Islam University, Professor Haci Maskuri Bakri, the ADA told SIA .

The Memorandum of Understanding envisages the co-operation in the field of exchange of students and teachers, cooperation in the field of scientific and pedagogical cadres, joint scientific events, preparation of scientific publications and a number of other areas.

Prior to the signing ceremony, he met with the rector of AUL, academician Kamal Abdulla Malang, rector of Islam University, professor H. Maskuri and university staff.

Rector K.Abdulla was glad to see the guests at AUL. He noted that ADU, which is well-known not only in Azerbaijan but also in other countries, has great potential for establishing interstate relations. Speaking about the five faculties of the university, the rector spoke about the languages ​​and cultures taught here. Speaking about the multicultural values of Azerbaijan, where different representatives of different nationalities and religious confessions settled, K.Abdulla spoke about the activities of the Scientific Research Laboratory of Multiculturalism at the University. R. Abdulla noted that the subject of "Azerbaijan multiculturalism" was taught at many universities of the world. Abdulla said that AUL is ready to cooperate with the teaching of this subject at Islamic University of Malang.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Azerbaijan Hüsnan Bey Fanani expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He said he was delighted to introduce guests from Indonesia to AUL.

Professor H. Maskuri, Rector of Islamic University of Malalan, said he was happy to be at AUL. He noted that Azerbaijan is rapidly developing and the similarity of religious values of both countries

In terms of spirituality. Rector H. Maskuri gave detailed information about the university headed by him. He said that the university is in the top ten because of its location and there are more than thirteen thousand students. The rector talked about the activities of ten faculties at the university where foreign students are studying. Rector H. Maskuri also spoke about the importance of Islamic values ​​in the university as well as multicultural factors.
