Derrama Magisterial organized an important three-day academic appointment....

From February 21 to 23 , the Magisterial Derrama , institution of foresight and social security of the teaching profession, gathered in its main auditorium more than 500 teachers from Lima and provinces during the eighth edition of the International Congress of Education Encinas , under the title Challenges of Education towards the Bicentennial , with the purpose of promoting the analysis of the national education system , from different points of view, and formulating recommendations and monitoring of policies and strategies related to the development and strengthening of thepublic school for the achievement of quality learning that affects the development of Peruvians and the country.

CONGRESS
In these three days of intense academic activity, notable national and international experts gathered to share their knowledge and experiences in various topics related to the teaching profession, under a positive approach that seeks to make concrete contributions to the debate of the sector.

"With this event, Derrama Magisterial has decided to give priority to the reflection on the school and the improvement of the learning until the year of celebration of the Bicentennial. It opens a channel of opinions of the Peruvian magisterium that contributes to better policy decisions and to the formulation of the National Education Project to 2036, currently under development, " said Professor Walter Quiroz Ybáñez , president of the Directorio de la Derrama. 

One of the most important topics covered in the Encinas Congress is the state of public policies for the construction of a school for the achievement of quality learning. The matter was addressed by researcher Hugo Díaz , former president of the National Council of Education.

"Progress has been made in improving the quality of learning, but without the desirable speed. It is necessary to consolidate the approach by competences. The restructuring should not include contents that go beyond the number of hours available and the possibilities of the teacher to impart them, " said Díaz.

DIGITAL 
During the first day of the Encinas highlighted the participation of the Deputy Minister of Pedagogical Management, Guillermo Molinari Palomino , who spoke about the digital divide in education and its possibilities for improvement in the immediate future. This subject, of vibrant actuality, was also played in a round table that counted with the participation of representatives of Peru Educa , Telefónica and the Institute of Peruvian Studies-IEP .

On this, one of the conclusions of the organizing committee of the Magisterial Derrama points out the following: "Many schoolchildren have a varied range of digital resources in their homes. They are in the midst of a technological invasion. But there is no clear digital development policy and plan for the public school. The investments must demonstrate that they have a demonstrable cost-benefit in reasonable terms, in which the main indicator must be the level of frequent use in the classrooms of their tools by the professors " .

PARTICIPANTS
Note the participation of teachers from urban and rural schools , from regions such as La Libertad (Virú), Puno (Carabaya), Huancavelica (Acobamba), Quispicanchis (Cusco), Ancash (Huaraz), among others, which presented success stories. Teaching experiences that have demonstrated their viability and positive impact on students and their communities. 

Among the institutions that participated in this International Congress of Education Encinas, organized by Derrama Magisterial, include: Ministry of Education , National Council of Education-CNE, Unesco , Education International-IE, Grade, Teachers College of Peru , Sutep , Institute of Peruvian Studies-IEP, Fundación Telefónica.
