Problems logging in to the medical test: "Technician solved the problem"

After several hours on Monday afternoon there was an all-clear for future medical students: "Technician has solved the problem," wrote the University of Vienna on Facebook. Thus, the registration for the admission test for medical studies, which was not possible in the meantime, should work again. "We apologize for the delay," wrote the leaders on Facebook.

Previously, it became known that both at the Med-University of Vienna and at the Med-University Innsbruck technical problems in the Internet registration for the human and dental medicine study for the academic year 2018/19 came. This started only last Thursday (1st of March) at the Medical Universities of Vienna, Graz and Innsbruck as well as at the Medical Faculty of the University of Linz. The registration deadline is 30th March.

The entrance examination for the total of 1680 study places takes place at all locations on 6 July. For the binding registration 110 Euro must be paid in due time within the scope of the Internet registration. This amount is intended to cover the costs of the admission procedure.

In the previous year, 16,000 people registered for the admission test, of which around 12,800 also appeared for the test. 75 percent of the beginner places are reserved for students with an Austrian Matura certificate, another 20 percent for students from EU countries.
