Lego programme launched in Adnoc schools

The programme will teach 6,000 children about maths, technology and science..........

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) is betting that child’s play with Lego bricks could lead to future careers in science and technology with the launch of the Lego Innovative Labs programme in Abu Dhabi.

Children will use the colourful small bricks to study robotics, coding and mathematics in the new education programme that launched at Adnoc’s school in Sas Al Nakhl, Abu Dhabi.

It will also be rolled out at Adnoc schools in Madinat Zayed, Ruwais and Ghayathi and reach 6,000 elementary and high school pupils.

The programme is intended to encourage imagination and critical thinking. It will tie into Abu Dhabi’s push for science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem) subjects, which are integrated into the curriculum from KG1.
