Pedagogy Students from Las Tunas Linked to Teaching

"I look forward to the day they call me teacher for the first time," said Indiana Rodríguez Martí, a fourth-year Pedagogy student, the standard-bearer of the detachment that will completethe professional practice at various educational centers in Las Tunas.......

The future teacher received the banner during a ceremony held at the Vicente García memorial, in this city, representing the 101 students of the municipality of Las Tunas who will practice teaching in schools of primary education.
Similar activities were developed in the remaining municipalities of the province; In total there are 392 who will teach to reinforce the education system. At the same time, they will complete a training cycle.
Abiel Merino Cajide, director of Education in the municipality, explained to the ACN that students will teach the specialties of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Special Education and several will be teachers of English.
The preparation of this detachment and the graduates of the pedagogical schools Rita Longa, of Las Tunas, and Rigoberto Batista Chapman, of Puerto Padre, is related to the Third Improvement of Education and the Fourth Regional Comparative and Explanatory Study of Quality, precise.
The official explained that those exercises will have their first evaluative cuts in March and April of this year, respectively.
With a teaching deficit of almost 300 educators, the province has been characterized in recent school years by solving the demand by opening new places in schools, the reintegration of retirees in the sector and the support of other professionals through contracts.
