Federal Directorate Of Education To Start 4-years BS Programme In ICT Colleges

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2018 ) :Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has planned to start four years BS programme in the public sector colleges of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) working under the directorate.

Talking to APP on Wednesday, Director General FDE, Hasnat Ahmad Qureshi said that the dialogue to this effect with Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad have been successful as these colleges would be affiliated with QAU.

He further informed that an advertisement for admission in BS Programme would be published in newspapers during this week while admissions would be opened from mid of September.

A committee of the QAU has visited the post graduate colleges of federal capital and reviewed the educational facilities being provided by the institutions after which the university has granted the permission to start BS Programme, he added.

 

Hasnat Qureshi further said that initially the BS Programme classes would be started only in those colleges in which post graduate programmes were already functioning.

This initiative of FDE would ensure the provision of quality education to the students especially belonging to middle class of federal capital.

It is pertinent to note that Higher Education Commission (HEC) has formulated a new policy under which it has directed all Publi-Private sector universities to close the two years BA, BSC programme and start 4-year BS Programmes with an aim to improve quality education.
