HAFIZABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2018 ) :Due to efforts of PTI MNA Ch. Shoukat Ali Bhatti, the Higher Education Commission has approved the establishment of campus of Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) at Hafizabad.

According to the directives issued by Dr. M. Mazhar Saeed, Director General (P&D) of the HEC, it has been decided to establish the campus of GCU Faisalabad at Hafizabad.

He requested the Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad to take necessary steps in this regard so that academic activities could be initiated as early as possible.

He added that HEC will provide financial support to the GC University as per provision of the PC-1 (establishment of sub-campuses of public sector universities at district level-phase-1).

The local citizens have appreciated the MNA for fulfilling his election promise for setting up the university to enable the youth of the district to get higher education at their doorstep.
