Teachers Be Provided Training On Latest Trend: Dr Saadia

Sindh Caretaker Minister for Education, Health, Population Welfare and Women development, Dr. Saadia Virk Rizvi has said that the teacher play a pivotal role in nourishing the student and they must be trained and equipped with latest trends and techniques.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jul, 2018 ) :Sindh Caretaker Minister for Education, Health, Population Welfare and Women development, Dr. Saadia Virk Rizvi has said that the teacher play a pivotal role in nourishing the student and they must be trained and equipped with latest trends and techniques.

She said this while presiding over a meeting on Teachers Training Programme at her office here, said a statement on Wednesday.

She said that the teachers are role models for the students and they must be provided with training on capacity building and psychological workshops to handle the students more effectively and efficiently.

These programmes should be renewed time-to-time by the support of private institutions, she added.

Dr. Saadia Rizvi also said, "We also need to analyze the reasons behind the escalating rate of dropouts especially of female students.

Our prime objective is to provide equal standard in government schools as compare to private institutes, she said.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Schools Education Madam Aalia Shahid, Secretary Collage Education Lubna Sallahuddin, Project Director Reforms Support Unit Dr. Muhammad Soomro and the representatives of Provincial Institute of Teachers Education (PITE), Sindh Teachers EducationDevelopment Authority (STEDA), The Citizenfoundation and others.
