University of Worcester

Our University is located in the historic city of Worcester, 2.5 hours from London and 40 minutes from Birmingham. We are large enough to offer a range of courses but small enough to care for every student personally, providing friendly support and guidance. You’ll be a part of a truly international student and staff community in a traditional British setting!

Whatever your reason for choosing Worcester, we offer an excellent environment in which to study and the high quality teaching you need to get the most from your studies.

  • 94.9% of our graduates go into work or education within six months of graduating – above the national average.
  • We have an excellent teaching record and small class sizes.
  • We have invested over £150 million on facilities. The Hive library was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen in July 2012, followed by the opening of a new 2000 seater Sports Arena.

High quality teaching

We have been awarded a silver rating in the first ever national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The assessors, who inspected the educational results for every university in England, found that Worcester “delivers high quality teaching, learning and outcomes for its students” and “consistently exceeds rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education”.

The panel noted that we excel at teaching which encourages high levels of student engagement and commitment to learning and study. Including “excellent levels” of contact time and schemes that involve students in the process of enhancing their own learning experience
